Job Summary
The EDA / Semiconductor Technology Lead is a subject matter expert (SME) in Electronic Design Automation (EDA / semiconductor) technologies and the semiconductor design industry and ecosystem. They will serve as a trusted advisor to NetApp field sales teams and customers, providing deep technical expertise and driving adoption of NetApp solutions within the EDA / semiconductor space.
Technical Expertise and Advocacy
- Experience with EDA / semiconductor design workflows & tools (frontend design through manufacturing) and an understanding of the needs of the various roles supporting the workflows
- Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and demos to educate field teams, partners, BU, and customers on the benefits of NetApp cloud and on-prem value-added solutions for EDA / semiconductor workloads
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure NetApp offerings align with the evolving needs of EDA / semiconductor companies
- Drive solution development within NetApp and with key EDA ISVs and hyperscalers
Sales Enablement and Support
- Partner with field sales teams to develop targeted sales strategies and presentations for EDA / semiconductor customers
- Assist in customer meetings, proofs of concept (POCs), and executive briefings (EBCs) to address technical concerns and showcase NetApp solutions
- Develop and curate technical content specifically for the EDA / semiconductor market. Must have strong writing skills
Industry Relationships and Community Building
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and user groups to build relationships with key decision-makers in the EDA / semiconductor space
- Stay abreast of industry trends and challenges (including the future of AI in EDA / semiconductor workflows) to inform NetApp’s go-to-market strategy for EDA / semiconductor solutions
- Identify and collaborate with relevant industry partners and technology leaders (software tool vendors)
Business Objectives
- Drive increased market share and adoption of NetApp solutions within the EDA / semiconductor industry
- Develop strong relationships with key EDA / semiconductor customers, delivery partners, ISVs and hyperscalers
- Ensure NetApp offerings effectively address the unique data storage and management challenges semiconductor companies face
- Run a comprehensive GTM from solution ideation through to revenue realization. Must have strong business acumen
Skills and Competencies
- 10+ years leading or developing information technology projects with a concentration in application, cloud, and on-premises storage architecture
- 7+ years of experience in the semiconductor design industry, EDA / semiconductor tools, and methodologies
- Proven understanding of EDA / semiconductor workflows, data management challenges, ecosystem and industry best practices
- Strong technical expertise in infrastructure and data management technologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to tailor technical content to diverse audiences
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $230,000 – $298,000. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
