The Senior Value Advisor is a critical role supporting customers across multiple industries to grow sales, build pipeline, and support customer adoption and success. The Senior Value Advisor provides deep business process and industry expertise, develops financial business cases, and provides strategic technology thought leadership to support sales cycles. The Senior Value Advisor is a strategic partner to sales and supports territory planning, account strategy, and coordinated sales execution to ensure a seamless customer journey.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Core criteria and role objectives:
- Partnering with field sales teams to identify revenue opportunities, create account strategies, and execute sales plays.
- Leading customer engagements to assess strategic objectives, map innovation scenarios, identify key improvement opportunities and other sources of economic value, and present board-level justification for change – including financial business cases.
- Demonstrating expert knowledge critical to the role including business processes, financial acumen, business metrics, Cloud technology, and business strategy
- Successfully pitch value engagements to customers and developing C-level sponsors.
- Collaborating with customers to establish value management practices which includes regular benchmarking for best practices and measuring realized value.
- Leading complex engagements with cross-functional teams (internal and external).
- Conducting executive level dialog in relation to the deliverables.
- Establishing and maintaining the trust of internal stakeholders.
A typical engagement requires obtaining buy-in of key stakeholders, confirming scope and timeline, conducting discovery workshops, analyzing, and synthesizing information, producing quality, executive ready deliverables with the ability to articulate work in a compelling and effective manner.
Key Attributes:
- 5-7+ years of relevant experience as a practitioner, management consultant, or in digital transformation role.
- Proficient speaker comfortable interacting with customers one to one and/or one to many scenarios.
- Strong executive presence.
- Track record of building and retaining strong customer relationships.
- Knowledge of diverse technology landscape and process/technology integration. SAP strongly preferred.
- Strategic thinker.
- Preferred industry experience – State/Local Government, Higher Education, Federal Government (Civilian Agencies or Department of Defense)
Qualifications, Education and Preferred Skills:
- Exemplary research and authoring skills with a strong emphasis on synthesis and representing complex scenarios simply.
- Ability to produce storylines and high-quality presentations in PowerPoint with a very keen eye for detail. Comfortable with robust financial analysis
- Executive presence demonstrated by compelling public speaking skills
- Passion for technology. SAP technology knowledge is a huge plus
- Proven CXO engagement skills
- Positive, Motivated, Self-starter with a can-do attitude
- Participation in relevant industry associations is a strong positive.
- MBA preferred

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 132000 – 281400 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
