The Senior Specialist, Pricing Analytics & Sales Operations provides analytical support and improvement efforts to enhance channel programs and pricing in order to maximize profitability and minimize Brother’s susceptibility to risk exposure. This role collects and audits claims of Brother Special Pricing Programs and analyzes Channel Programs and Policies, including but not limited to: Brother Authorized Partner Program (BAPP), Minimum Advertised Pricing Policies, BMG channel pricing, and Bid Desk & Special Pricing Programs. Additionally, this role supports all aspects of Brother Valued Partner Program (VPP), building and updating metrics connected to the programs, as well as identifying areas of improvement and resolving potential issues for assigned business units. This role works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance, and Supply Chain to align pricing strategies with the broader business objectives, profitability targets, and compliance requirements. In addition, this role provides ad-hoc support to the Sales Operation team as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Channel Pricing
- Support Sales and Marketing leadership to review channel pricing guidelines and margin structure across different channels and identify opportunities for margin improvement
- Act as the final reviewer of pricing requests and inquiries before executives, such as the VP of BMG
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to determine pricing and margin structures for all BMG products
- Manage the Master pricing file and distribute monthly price lists for each channel to Brother stakeholders
- Audit the current channel pricing changes and processes, ensuring compliance to Brother guidelines, profitability, and timely implementation with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain
- Strive for continuous improvement in communication, efficiency, and responsiveness to external markets and stakeholders
- Manage BMG Price Change Order requests and Pricing inquiries to support Sales and Supply Chain
- Provide support to external auditors for channel pricing
Special Pricing Program Analysis and Audit
- Collect and audit special pricing claims from Authorized Partners and Distributors based on validation of cost, special pricing, end-user requirements, approval validity, partner eligibility, and genuine consumables usages, to minimize Brother’s susceptibility to financial exposure
- Analyze the effectiveness of Brother Special Pricing Program’s viability and monitor levels of compliance from Brother partners in collaboration with Sales and Bid Desk
- Provide data regularly to Credit and Budgeting & Forecasting to support monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing and Special Pricing Program accruals
- Continuously collaborate with Sales and Finance with innovative and strategic thinking and broad understanding of analytics to challenge and improve traditional processes and customs
- Provide analytical support and information visualization to various stakeholders using multiple sources of data, including but not limited to: sales in, POS, shipping, credit, forecast, and cost breakdowns
- Perform periodic audit of Brother Authorized Partner Program to evaluate performance, identify business opportunities and improve level and quality of support offered to Brother partners
- Audit Bid Desk and Special Pricing Programs activities to evaluate pricing deals lifecycle and performance by key partners
- Collaborate with Data Enablement to utilize and validate EDI feeds and VPP data
- Develop channel and pricing programs reports with analytical interpretations on a regular basis to Senior Management and applicable stakeholders
Research, Reporting, and Data Analysis
- Lead periodic meetings with Sales, Product Marketing, and Senior Executives to review VPP performance of key customers and identify areas of opportunities
- Cleanse and report VPP data monthly to provide analytical insights about BMG sales trends and history to BIL
- Identify opportunities to improve and enhance Brother channel programs
- and processes, optimizing operational efficiency through strategic thinking and delivery of insightful analytical interpretation and recommendations
- Identify any potential fraudulent activities regarding VPP or Special Pricing Programs and works with Sales to proactively and reactively address issues
- Collaborate with National Warranty and Service Solutions and Finance to support product registration and warranty extensions
- Validate and maintain data integrity of all inputs, and interacts with applicable stakeholders when data issues arise

ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
***
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, marketing, business administration, finance, or a related field
Experience
- 6+ years previous experience in sales operations, performing multiple analyses and audits related to pricing, contracts, partner programs, and/or POS data
Software/Technical Skills
- Microsoft Excel – utilization of complex analytical functions
- SAP or similar ERP systems
- Tableau and its analytical functions
- Microsoft Access (Preferred)
Other Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
- Prior knowledge of pricing methodologies, data intelligence techniques, and channel management best practices
- Ability to manage and compile large confidential data sets from multiple sources, interpret and draw conclusions from data
- Ability to draw insights, conclusions, and recommendations from large data sets
- Communication skills (verbal & written) with the ability to build good working relationships
- Ability conducting complex analyses and delivering actionable insights to drive revenue growth and profitability
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate data analysis to stakeholders at all levels

ADDITIONAL DETAILS FOR THIS ROLE

This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers. #LI-Hybrid
- The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $90,000 – $110,000 per year
- Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
- This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives
