Job Summary

The Partner Sales Leader – West is instrumental in driving NetApp’s success by managing and nurturing relationships with key partners in the Western United States. In this role, you will lead a team of seven partner managers, developing and executing a strategic plan to increase NetApp’s product and service sales while enhancing partner preference for our solutions.
 
As the primary representative of NetApp to our partners in the region, you will drive joint business planning, marketing initiatives, and sales activations that align with our company objectives. Your ability to interpret complex data, manage relationships, and lead with a sales-focused approach will be crucial to the success of both NetApp and our partners.
Key Responsibilities:
 
•    Leadership & Strategy Development: Guide a team of partner managers in creating and implementing a strategic plan that fosters deep, productive relationships with top partners in the region.
•    Business Planning & Execution: Collaborate with partner managers to create, implement, and measure joint business plans that drive sales growth and increase partner loyalty to NetApp solutions.
•    Cross-functional Coordination: Serve as the link between partners and NetApp’s internal teams, including sales, technical, and C-suite stakeholders, ensuring alignment and maximization of joint opportunities.
•    Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics to inform strategic decisions, set goals, monitor performance, and identify new opportunities within the partner ecosystem.
•    Marketing & Sales Activation: Work with partner managers to develop and execute marketing and sales initiatives that drive lead generation and strengthen partner preference for NetApp.
•    Financial Acumen: Understand financial metrics related to revenue, partner profitability, and forecasting to guide decision-making and ensure successful partner outcomes.
•    Conflict Resolution & Communication: Navigate challenging conversations with maturity, manage conflicts effectively, and represent NetApp professionally in diverse settings.

Job Requirements

•    Experience:

   5+ years in a B2B technology sales management/leadership position managing a team of quota-carrying representatives.
   10+ additional years of sales experience in the B2B tech space.
   Experience in a VAR/reseller/partner environment is a strong plus.

•    Proven Success:

   Quota achievers only, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
   Storage experience is strongly preferred.

•    Skills:

   Exceptional relationship management skills, with a mature, diplomatic approach to building and maintaining internal relationships, particularly with internal sellers and cross-functional teams.
   Strong leadership skills with a history of managing and developing high-performing teams.
   Proficiency in using data analytics to drive strategic decisions.
   Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively across different levels of an organization.
 

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is 350,000 – 400,000 and will be determined by the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
