SAP Business Network Strategy Director (NSD)

Location: SAP Office, North America

Travel: 40%

 

SAP Business Network Strategy Director role is focused on increasing Network revenue and ensuring Network adoption for buyers and suppliers through strategic regional portfolio management.  

The SAP Business Network Strategy Director role develops strategic plans to promote customer engagement and network growth.  To be successful, the role requires a senior professional with proven leadership, a deep understanding of SAP solutions, and a focus on driving business outcomes.  The NSD will collaborate with the regional VP of their assigned market unit to align on priorities and customer success.  The role, by design, is cross functional and will align with leadership across CSS and Sales. 

 

Task Functions & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for regional customer portfolio management with accountability to revenue growth targets. Directs market unit strategy in collaboration with the Accelerated Adoption Executives (AAE).
  • Development and management of forecasting, account penetration plans, and customer engagement plans that will deliver business outcomes.
  • Conducts customer business and opportunity diagnostics to analyze business case drivers, to identify program risks and to establish action plans that deliver near term results and continue to improve the processes related to our network value proposition.  Develop and gain customer buy in on customer network roadmap to improve product adoption and maximizing the perceived value of the customer’s subscription.
  • Work with the regional Vice President to prioritize high-value customers and focus on the most impactful opportunities to drive Spend adoption and increase SAP Business yields across the assigned market unit.   Creates and aligns on market unit goals around Network growth.
  • Patriciate in Sales cycles ensuring customer understands full Network value /solution set & applying to the customers business case.
  • Develops and maintains regional market unit program reporting to communicate overall progress around spend, documents, relationships, and revenue.  Reports out on progress of market unit Network goals.
  • Develops and maintains deep relationships with key decision makers and executive sponsors within the Customer’s Accounts Payable, Treasury, IT and Procurement areas to ensure longevity of successful program buy in.
  • Participate in high value/high opportunity quarterly CRR/QBR meetings with the Regional VP in relation to the SAP Business Network.
  • Serve as the thought leader for how to build industry network connections between buyer & trading partner communities.

 

Professional and Educational Requirements, Job Related Skills

  • Seven or more years work experience in senior Account Management, Consulting or Relationship Management function
  • Excellent program and project management and customer management competencies
  • Proven Leadership experience with problem solving and innovative mindset.
  • Expert knowledge of collaborative procurement, AP, Treasury and Working Capital management
  • Proven experience with business process transformation and re-engineering disciplines
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skillset and ability to assist RVPs with management of the customer portfolio priorities.
  • MBA or undergraduate degree in business, finance, or supply chain management

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 184,000 – 390,200 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
