Job Summary

As a Strategics Regional Director, you are responsible for managing teams selling NetApp’s Products and Professional Services to several, large key Global Enterprise customers. Your ability to help penetrate new divisions and organizations within assigned accounts is essential to your being successful in this role. Cross-functional teams from NetApp’s Marketing, Systems Engineering and Product Development functions provide support and tools for you to leverage to attain and exceed sales performance goals.

Experience in the Auto, Media, Energy and Named Accounts verticals is highly preferred.

Candidate must be located within the region of assignment or willing to relocate to be considered. High preference for candidates in Central Time Zone to be based near our customers in these verticals. 

This position reports to the Vice President – Global Strategic Sales

 

Job Responsibilities 
Working directly with teams assigned to our largest Enterprise Customers, the goal for the Strategics Regional Director will be to capture sales opportunities and to work effectively across functions with other NetApp employees by:

• Leading with a Growth Mindset.
• Able to operate at a “C” level both within NetApp and within the customer portfolio.
•  Building senior technical customer relationships to gain buy-in with decision makers and ensure continuity of existing revenues, while simultaneously driving growth of all product revenues.
•  Creating relationship maps within accounts with plans to expand depth and quality of relationships with buyers and influencers, thereby expanding breadth of product sales.
•  Developing account plans and a long-term product strategy encompassing new and existing products within the accounts.
•  Leading and coordinating the end-to-end sales cycle including qualification, solution design, pricing and quoting, and contract development to close deals.
•  Continuously assessing customer business requirements and continue to maintain and educate stakeholders on NetApp’s value proposition and best-in-class products.

• The potential impact of decisions made by this individual has significant operational or financial impact on the performance standards of the function and may impact the company’s success.

 

Job Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in a related sales role with at least 6 years of experience leading teams including ICs and Managers. 
•  Experience working with customers in the verticals of assignment is highly preferred 
• Ability to travel within assigned region, working closely with District Managers, Sales Representatives, SE/Technical Sales Peer Leadership, and Channel Partners. Occasional travel outside of region may be required.
•  A strong understanding of the sales process, forecasting and Channel Sales.
•  High energy with the capability to multi-task in a dynamic, rapidly growing organization.
•  A thorough understanding of go-to-market strategies including account segmentation, products, marketing strategies, etc.
•  Broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts in a distributed environment.
• Experience with developing budgets and predicting project costs.

Education

•  Bachelor’s degree or additional years of experience.

The salary range for this position is $374,000 – 484,000 USD total on target earnings and will be determined by the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
