Overview:
The Medical Sales Representative will demonstrate an excellence in developing and applying territory business plans that lead to achievement of sales goals and objectives. Additionally, they will coordinate with all field-based employees (Sales Director, Regional Sales Manager, Brand Manager, etc.) to effectively drive promoted product(s) to Dermatologists within a designated geography.
This full-time position includes base salary, strong incentive plan, excellent benefits package, paid time off, comprehensive training, fleet vehicle, full expense account privileges, and special recognition for top performers.
Location:
Territory based in Northern NJ and also includes Rockland, Putnam counties and Poughkeepsie, NY. It is a requirement that the candidate will reside within the territory with the ideal candidate living in Morris County, NJ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager
- Must demonstrate high level of integrity and accountability
- Ability to build strong professional relationships; establish credibility and rapport with both internal and external customers
- Responsible for the understanding and utilization of sales reports and forecasts
- Ability to implement and execute key marketing strategies
- Responsible for timely call reporting tasks
- Responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills are required
- Ability to travel overnight as needed.
- Ability to travel and work outside of the parameters of 8am to 5pm, as well as attend both corporate and medical conventions when required, which includes some weekends
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year accredited university
- College GPA of 3.0
- Minimum three (3) years of outside business-to-business sales required
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
- Must be proficient with MS Office, Windows, and have the ability to quickly become familiar with sales tracking and reporting software
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Ability to lift 20lbs and stand for long periods
Preferred:
- Outside sales experience in medical or pharmaceutical sales experience preferred
- Minimum two (2) years of consistent, documented high level sales performance.
- Recent working relationships with local Dermatologists is a plus
- Bilingual a plus
