SAP's Sustainability Business Unit is seeking an experienced Senior Partnership Leader to join our dynamic team to scale our Sustainability Winning Plan with SAP’s partner ecosystem. This strategic role will drive engagement with our key partners, across three dimensions: our Go-to-Market, Product Marketing and Product Development strategies. This role will be instrumental in leading the alignment of our Sustainability initiatives with Partner Ecosystem Success’ (PES) strategies, in support of our unit’s top level KPIs.

 

Responsibilities

 

The Head of Sustainability Partner Engagement is a strategic role to steer all partner related activity in the Sustainability Growth Unit, with a 360-degree focus and the ability to look at all elements of the customer journey as it relates to partners and sustainability. Main goal is to drive and enhance partner engagement as a liaison between key partners, PES and the SAP Sustainability Business Unit (e.g. GTM, Product Engineering, Product Marketing, Strategy and Customer Adoption) to ensure strategic and executional alignment.

 

Partner Ecosystem Success

 

  • Closely engage with PES, including regional Partner Business Managers and Chief Partner Officers, focused mainly on SAP's Global Services Strategic Partnerships to advocate for sustainability into the overall partner ecosystem.

 

  • Steer and orchestrate alignment meetings with PES and/or Partner’s leadership, including facilitating enablement workshops, ensuring clear communication and understanding between all stakeholders of SAP’s Sustainability solutions and strategy.

 

Product Engineering, Strategy & Adoption

 

  • Closely engage with Product and Engineering for in-depth understanding of our Sustainability product and services, support assessing feasibility of partner developed offerings, and propose new opportunities. Understand key challenges and guide partners by including the right stakeholders within SAP.

 

  • Support assessment of partner developed Sustainability use cases and offerings; guide them towards mutual success.

 

  • Stay abreast of SAP Sustainability portfolio capabilities and roadmap; keep the partners updated and informed of relevant opportunities and impacts.

 

  • Strategy: Understand key strategic capability gaps and whitespaces from a solution, industry and regional coverage perspective; support identification and ramp-up of new strategic partners to close these gaps. Add partner perspective and opportunities to evolve the unit’s Buy / Build / Partner framework; support creation of business cases for new co-innovation partnerships.

 

  • Adoption: Providing technical information and applicable resources to ensure that partners can implement and deliver successfully. Support scaling of adoption best practices in the partner ecosystem and cascading of adoption targets to partners

 

GTM

 

  • Infuse partner perspective into Sustainability GTM (led by GTM team) and cascade it to partners.

 

  • Ensure alignment and integration of SAP sustainability products with partner(s) strategies.

 

  • Collaborate with Sustainability GTM team on the development of comprehensive plans, including scorecards, adoption metrics and status reports, providing regular updates around partner(s) Sustainability activities.

 

  • Work closely with Sustainability GTM team and regional stakeholders to enable field alignment on joint target accounts with Partners.

 

  • Manage risks and issues related to the partner(s), ensuring they are identified, communicated, and resolved in a timely manner.

 

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.

 

  • Coordinate and/or renegotiate any changes to partner GTM agreements.

 

Product Marketing

 

  • Create the tools and content for in-depth understanding of our Sustainability product and enable partner developed offerings. Understand key challenges and guide partners by including the right stakeholders within SAP as deemed necessary.

 

  • Oversee the customization of enablement content for partners and PES.

 

  • Sharing product announcements, roadmaps, changes, impacts, keeping the partners updated and informed of relevant opportunities and impacts.

 

  • Coordinate co-marketing opportunities to drive references, demand, thought leadership, and other marketing events, whether SAP or partner driven.

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field. A Master's degree would be an advantage.

 

8+ years of experience in Senior Partner Management Role and strong track record.

 

Experience with SAP or other similar enterprise software is strongly preferred.

 

Demonstrable experience in managing Sustainability or related technology projects with partners. Prior experience of partner management aspects like driving or coordinating partner technical enablement workshops, strategy development, business canvas/business plan build would be must.

 

Prior experience in terms of consulting, driving partner or customer co-innovation would be desired. Solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies.

 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.

 

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 205600 – 349500(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
