The Manager, Sales, Retail focuses on expansion of Brother Mobile Solutions’ (BMS) sales revenue and market share within the major target vertical market – Retail in North America. This role collaborates closely with the Director, Sales to execute cutting edge sales strategies to meet company’s revenue goals and profits. Additionally, the manager focus areas in this position includes but are not limited to pipeline management, forecasting, sales reporting.

Sales Strategy Execution
- Execute the overall sales strategy and tactical plan for the assigned vertical market – Retail
- End-User focus:
- Prospect and directly engage with end-user customers to identify short-term and long-term opportunities, developing a pipeline leading to sales closure and revenue results
- Present solutions to business problems with clear ROI and value propositions, understanding competitors’ positioning and proposing ways to displace them
- Create and maintain BMS’ demand, preference, and loyalty within these end-user accounts
- Work closely with Marketing/Lead Gen team and follow-up on Sales Qualified Leads
- Channel Partner Focus:
- Utilizing the channel sales team, work closely with the channel partners in the Retail space to penetrate channel partner’s customers or bring opportunities to the appropriate partners to close.
- Stay in tune with market trends and demands in order to proactively and effectively adapt sales approach as it relates to revenue streams
- Act as the subject matter expert for the Retail vertical market, supporting other team members with their questions
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual team sales quota 80%
Reporting, Budgeting, & Forecasting
- Provide timely and comprehensive sales reports on revenue attainment versus quota & pipeline progress
- Provide timely and comprehensive sales forecasts to the operations team as part of the demand planning process
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify sales trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks
- Monitor and manage the sales budget, ensuring adherence to financial targets and identifying cost-saving opportunities

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) Business, Marketing, or field Required
- Master’s Degree MBA or related field Preferred
Experience
Minimum 7 years
- Experience as a “hunter” sales professional with demonstrated results in creating new opportunities and expanding existing opportunities Required
- End-user sales experience, specifically in selling technology-based solutions: hardware, services, and integrated solutions Required
Minimum 2 years
- Experience in Retail market Preferred

- Strong ability to strategically analyze data, think and execute on long-term action plans Required
- Strong aptitude for crafting creative sales strategies to achieve business growth and divisional profit Required
- Knowledge in all aspects of sales management, including but not limited to forecasting, goal setting, team planning, account mapping, resource management, time management, selling to the relevant executive, conducting executive briefings Required
- Strong communication skills (written/verbal/interpersonal) and ability to build relationships internally and externally Required
- Strong ability to deliver effective presentations Ability to lead, develop and mentor others Required
- Excellent negotiation skills Required
- Knowledge of Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) market and experience selling to Retail Market Preferred

- The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $92,000.00 – $116,000.00 per year
- Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
- This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives
