Sistas in Sales, the premier global community for women of color in sales, is seeking a passionate and creative Copywriter to join our team. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will be responsible for crafting compelling and engaging content that resonates with our target audience and supports our marketing objectives. As the voice of SIS across various platforms, including email, website, social media, and press releases, your role will be crucial in shaping our narrative and enhancing our brand’s reach and impact.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a copywriter or communications professional
- A strong portfolio of work that demonstrates your ability to write clear, concise, and engaging copy
- Experience working with a variety of platforms, including email, website, social media, and press releases
- A deep understanding of the sales industry and the challenges and opportunities faced by women of color in sales
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Please note: This is a contract position requiring approximately 20 hours per week with the opportunity to transition to a full-time position in the future. This is a 1099 contract role that reports to the Chief Marketing Officer. Contractors will be responsible for providing their own equipment, including but not limited to laptop computers, cell phones, or any other electronic equipment required to perform their role.
- Develop and execute creative copywriting campaigns that align with SIS’s brand and messaging
- Write engaging and informative content for a variety of platforms, including emails, website pages, social media posts, and press releases
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to ensure that all copy is consistent and on-brand
- Conduct market research and stay up-to-date on industry trends to ensure that copy is relevant and effective
- Edit and proofread all copy to ensure accuracy and clarity
