What should I expect at SIS Summit?

At its core, SIS Summit 2022 is a celebration of our community: women of color in the sales world. There will be stage programming designed to educate and inspire, time and space dedicated to networking and relationship-building, and even a recruiting environment for you to get to meet ambassadors from some of our favorite companies and hear about career opportunities. Plus, several more activations and experiences yet to be announced!

How can I convince my manager to sponsor my attendance?

Use this letter template to write a convincing letter to your manager covering all the benefits of the three-day, educational, networking, can’t-miss Sales Summit.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

This is a business sales conference, so we encourage you to dress in business attire. This is both a professional setting and also a gathering of your peers and your community. You’re welcome to dress up, and to show off your favorite look!

What should I bring?

The SIS Summit is all about learning, connecting and networking – so bring whatever tools help you do that best! If nothing else, we recommend you bring your favorite method of note-taking and of sharing your contact information, as well as a few printed resumes if you’re interested in potential job opportunities with our sponsors. And if you need to get a little work done while you’re here, we’ll even have a SIS Lounge for you to pull out your laptop and knock out an email or two.

Will there be coat check and bag check?

Yes to both!

What are your Covid-19 Policies?

The Location:
Knockdown Center

About Our Venue

Knockdown Center is a 50,000 square-foot building that has seen continuous use for more than 100 years: first as the Gleason-Tiebout glass factory, then as Manhattan Door factory. It is named for the Knock-Down door frame that was invented here in 1956 by Samuel Sklar and remains an industry standard to this day. The frame could be shipped in pieces — or “knocked down” — and installed into existing walls, revolutionizing the speed and efficiency of building construction.

The factory has since remained in the Sklar family and is again a site for innovation. Having undergone a renovation that is equal parts preservationist and state of the art, Knockdown Center now produces and hosts cultural events and exhibitions that respond to its unique architecture and dimensions.
