Job Summary

The role of Distribution Manager is integral to NetApp’s operational strategy. This critical position is tasked with the responsibility for TD SYNNEX. As a dynamic part of our team, the Distribution Manager is the driving force behind strategizing and executing measures to enhance the sales of NetApp’s cutting-edge products and services, attain defined sales targets, and foster a favorable inclination of partners toward NetApp.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate, maintain, and execute a forward-thinking sales strategy and comprehensive business plan for assigned distributor account.
  • Facilitate executive engagement between the distributor and corresponding sectors of the NetApp sales organization, fostering strong business relationships.
  • Amplify NetApp’s market share by influencing distributors’ preferences and maximizing the wallet share.
  • Coordinate and enable the training of distributor sales and technical teams in accordance with program requirements and solutions Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies.
  • Plan and manage Incentive Headcount resources to drive optimal performance.
  • Augment distributor readiness to drive solutions and services sales, ensuring their aptitude aligns with our quality standards.
  • Champion and implement NetApp initiatives and programs for strategic growth.
  • Maintain distributor forecast accuracy and overall health, ensuring business sustainability.
  • Execute continuous strategies and tactics for Installed Base expansion and retention, ensuring enduring client relationships.
  • Collaborate with Partner’s and NetApp Commercial team (CTR/CAM) to stimulate Partner Driven Commercial business development.
  • Coordinate tactical activities to bolster bookings and meet sales targets.

  • Achieving bookings against quota.
  • Driving partner-oriented bookings.
  • Ensuring timely renewals.
  • Acquiring new end user accounts.
  • Complying with accreditations and certifications standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 7+ years of direct experience in distribution or channel sales, with at least 5 years in a senior role managing large distributors 
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Proven track record of developing and executing strategic business plans that drive revenue growth through distributor channels, with responsibility for managing $500M+ in annual revenue across diverse markets, including public sector and large geographic territories.
  • Deep Distributor Knowledge:
    • Extensive understanding of distribution operations, sales strategies, and marketing programs, with experience overseeing business across North America, including SLED, Federal, and Canadian markets.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Strong ability to analyze data, track performance, and adjust strategies to ensure business targets are met or exceeded.
  • Relationship & Communication Skills:
    • Exceptional ability to influence senior-level executives and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and distributor partners.
    • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex issues effectively.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is 250,000 – 275,000 and will be determined by the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
